After a long process of construction Darren Campbell officially opens Jack Hunt new build.
After 18 months of construction the new Voyager School has opened its doors to the entire students and staff.
Bouygues UK lends a helping hand to Feeder Soccer manager Elliott Parry to get his community based academy up and running.
Guests were invited to join Bouygues UK to the new Voyager school to celebrate the official reveal of the tiling.
Bouygues UK is pleased to announce that after sponsoring the bid and working closely with members of Voyager School, they have gained Specialist Media Arts Status. This is a great achievement for Hugh Howe and his team who are extremely committed and have worked incredibly hard to gain the status.
After his visit the leader of the Council stated, “I was very impressed by what I saw during the site visits. The schools will provide state-of-the-art facilities for our children and young people to learn and develop in the future. All of the sites were very neat and orderly and it was a pleasure to make the visit”.
After the dismantling of the tower crane 1 at Vooyager School we have now said goodbye to our last tower crane on 17 December 2006. This is great news as, this means the end of concrete and main structural works! A great step forward in getting closer to the finished school.

The ongoing works and programme of the PFI schools project managed by Bouygues UK were viewed during a recent site visit, involving the following members of Peterborough City Council: Councillor Geoff Ridgeway, Cabinet member for Education and Childrens’s Services, Chief executive Gillian Beasley and director of Children’s Services Mohammed Mehmet.
Early October, parents and pupils were invited to have a first glimpse inside the new Voyager and Ken Stimpson schools and they came in great numbers.
On a recent site visit in September, Catherine Cavanagh, Community School Governor, was amazed at the progress of the construction works at the Voyager School.

Bouygues UK and Ecovert FM have very recently signed two new PFI contracts: Peterborough Schools PFI and Lewisham Grouped Schools PFI.
The 'top secret' school uniform for the new £26 million Voyager School will be showcased on the catwalk by Year 8 students from Bretton Woods and Walton community schools. The fashion shows in the Reception Room at Peterborough Town Hall in Bridge Street on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 June, will be the first public showing of the uniform which will be worn by students at the city's newest school when it opens in September 2007.
Bouygues UK welcomes within the team six new recruits from Peterborough and three from Cambridgeshire. Their background and experience will complement the existing 'international' team of 12 nationalities.
The £45 million construction of Peterborough's Voyager School and extensions to the Jack Hunt and Ken Stimpson schools began on 14 March 2006. Peterborough City Council officials gathered at the site of the new Voyager School today to mark the occasion.
Kettering based, Mainland Contractors has been awarded a civil engineering contract from Bouygues UK Ltd to undertake the Civil Engineering works for three new PFI schools in Peterborough.
