Bouygues UK and Ecovert FM have very recently signed two new PFI contracts: Peterborough Schools PFI and Lewisham Grouped Schools PFI.
On 31 July the IIC Bouygues Education consortium comprising Bouygues UK, Ecovert FM and Investors in the Community, signed the £64m (PFI credit) contract with the Peterborough City Council to design, build and provide hard and soft facilities management services for the next 30 years to three schools: Voyager School, Jack Hunt School and Ken Stimpson Community School.
On 3 August the Bouygues
Education consortium (Bouygues UK, Ecovert FM and HSBC Infrastructure)
signed the £60m (PFI credit) contract with The London Borough of
Lewisham to design, build and provide hard and soft facilities
management services for the next 30 years to three schools: Greenvale
Special Needs School, Crofton Secondary School and Forest Hill
Secondary School.
Works have already started on the six sites to
allow for completion of the Phases 1 between autumn 2007 and spring
2008. Interim facilities management services will commence at the
Peterborough schools during September 2006.
Both contracts demonstrate Bouygues's presence and commitment to the improvement of the education infrastructure in the UK. This is further illustrated by Bouygues's on going participation in several Building Schools for the Future procurements.
Ends.
