Voyager Final Handover

The new Voyager School in Walton has opened its doors to its entire staff and students. The school that will serve the Walton Community School students and the Bretton Woods students was handed over on September 03^rd 2007, a week ahead of schedule.

Week commencing September 10^th 2007 was the students first week back to school after their summer break. After an 18 month journey of design and construction students can now start to make the most of the State of the Art facilities available to them. To name just a few they will have access to recording studios, Dance and Drama studios a number of Sports Facilities including climbing wall, fully equipped Sports Hall and Fitness Suite, running track and various external Sports Pitches.

On September 15^th 2007 Voyager opened its doors to the public, giving the community the opportunity to view the state of the art facilities available for the staff, students and local community. Throughout the opening, the staff and students of the school showcased the facilities to the full extend with ongoing performances and demonstrations. With  a constant flow of visitors the day was a great success.
