Ken Stimpson works are on schedule with the successful handover at the end of August of the refurbished “summer break” areas which included an Administration Block and a total of 50 various rooms, including an updated ICT suite, a smart new staff social room, numerous refurbished classrooms, conference room and office accommodation.
In order to complete the refurbished areas for the start of the new school term Nick Austin the site Manager and his team spent many long days completing this stage of the project. Now a few beautifully refurbished rooms are awaiting students and staff on their return to school in September.
School refurbishment during the summer holiday brings high expectations and long hours are needed to meet the short time frame. The works carried out at Ken Stimpson were no exception to this. The entire team worked seven days a week to complete the works for the school. They were particularly busy in the last two weeks finishing off the rooms so all new furniture and equipment could be installed for the return of pupils and staff in September.
Nick highlighted that “we have managed to do all this work during the summer break and whilst it was hard work it has been tremendously satisfying to the whole team and it is great to think the school is now benefiting from these refurbished areas”.
